The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.


Job overview and responsibilities:


The Program Manager - Airport Operations is responsible for providing guidance, training, and assistance to station leaders, regional managers, and general managers in their efforts to reduce the risk of injuries and aircraft damages.


  • Develop, publish, and maintain safety scorecards and metric dashboards. Create new business requirements that meet and address defects or improvements to current metrics or reports
  • Assist stakeholders by developing and implementing programs that improve safety, increase regulatory compliance, and ensure safety targets are met or exceeded
  • Work with technology to push new metrics and improvements through the various stages of the development lifecycle, including UAT. Including development business cases to secure funding for new safety technology.
  • Act as a resource to station leadership to affect continual improvement in injury and damage prevention and safety related compliance matters through adhoc reporting and data analysis. Along with onsite safety visits to evaluate adherence to safety policies and procedures by airport operations frontline employees, supervisor, and business partner teams
  • Serve as resource for Station Leaders and Supervisors to accurately document events in Event Reporting System (ERS) and Occupational Injury System (OIS)
  • Introduce root causecorrective action techniques to station leaders and supervisors through training and coaching, and station visits. Support onsite safety compliance assessments to validate workplace hazard corrective actions have been implemented to address root causes of process failures identified


  • Assists Senior Manager

  • AO Strategy in preparing presentations for Executive Leadership, Airport Operations Leadership, and Division Leadership meetings

NOTE:
This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL.

and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working on a 2-3 days in office schedule, however, that may evolve with the needs of the company.


Qualifications:


What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years' of relevant work experience
  • Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other technical degree or equivalent level of work experience
  • 2+ years' of management experience with a major passenger, cargo, or regional carrier
  • 5+ years' of experience working in an airline operational capacity or similar experience
  • Experience in preparing written and verbal communications for all levels of leadership
  • Demonstrated skills with Business Case development and financial modeling
  • Microsoft Office Skills (i.e. PowerPoint (Think Cell), Excel, Microsoft Forms)
  • Knowledgeable with Spotfire and Foundry
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Solid understanding of Federal Aviation and/or OSHA regulations
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be willing and able to work a hybrid work schedule, in office 23 days a week at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
