    The Pullen Park campus contains 67 acres of gorgeous park land, offering a variety of activities to keep guests of all ages engaged and entertained.

    Our offerings include a carousel dating to 1911, an original Wurlitzer 125 band organ, a CP Huntington scaled train, kiddie boats, pedal boats and eight picnic shelters in addition to a variety of events and programs that we host throughout the year.

    The Attractions and Front Desk Assistant is responsible for assisting park management with the day-to-day operations of facilities and programs at Pullen Park Amusements.

    Individuals in this position are considered essential staff and deal with the public directly through reservation inquires and ticketing requests, in addition to assisting with attractions operations as needed.

    This position requires an extensive amount of training, including cashier training, reservationist training, ride training and First Aid/CPR, all of which will be provided.

    This is a part-time position with a maximum of 999 hours per year, averaging 18 hours per week.

    Duties and Responsibilities Provide exceptional guest service through a variety of mediumsEfficiently respond to phone calls, emails and walk in guests in a timely mannerBook rentals using RecTrac or equivalent booking softwareMeet with interested guests for showingsReceive and process payments and other cash handling duties as necessaryEnsure proper organization of rental paperworkOversee rentals and assist renters Sell ride tickets and gift shop items using a Point of Sale systemResolve guest concerns, or pass along to management depending on the situationMeet regularly with the Customer Service Manager and Front Desk staff members to discuss ways in which to improve the rental programAssist facility staff with emergency and medical response, or be the point person in the absence of managementEnter data and make modifications through MS Office SuiteAssist in maintaining park cleanliness and sanitizationOperate amusements as per DOL standards and City policiesTeach and coach staff membersEnforce city and park policiesComplete additional duties as assigned by supervisorOther duties as assigned.

    Typical Qualifications Applicant must be at last 18 years of ageApplicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalentApplicant must have a valid Driver's License and a "safe" driving recordFluency in speaking, reading, and writing EnglishOutgoing, energetic, and enthusiasticMust possess excellent customer service skillsExperience coordinating rentals and/or eventsMinimum availability of 4 weekdays per week; must be available to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
