    ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER

    We like to say that Clean-Flo International is a 50-year-old startup company.

    We are 50 years old but in Year 2of a major transformation of our business model to solve the global water crisis that is upon us.


    We provide Renewable Water with our proprietary ONE Biotechnology Solution, consisting of proprietary technology and biological products that completely oxygenate the water column, remove excess nutrients from the water and allow for a complete ecosystem regime change resulting in healthy water for all.

    No one else in water management has the biological and oxygenation knowledge and expertise that we do.

    At Clean-Flo, we design, manufacture, and install systems to restore degraded freshwater resources.

    We take on the tough projects engineering firms and lake management companies cant solve for because we meet them at the nexus of science, engineering, and biology.

    We take on these projects, create new-to-the-world solutions that clean water biologically, delivering Renewable Water for all.

    Job Summary


    The Engineering Project Manager will be a self-sufficient team leader and innovator who designs mechanical systems, leads field staff in project construction, and troubleshoots and solves problems in the field.

    The Project Manager will be the face of the company with the customers and perform day-to-day responsibility for executing projects and solving problems in the field or shop.

    The Engineering Project Manager works closely with executive leadership to improve designs, innovate, and manage people and projects.


    The individual will be required to perform a diverse range of assignments that require working at a computer, outdoors, in a warehouse environment, at remote worksites, and staying in hotels overnight.

    Some international travel may be required. Travel may include extended assignments.

    The qualified candidate should be able to work on his or her feet for extended periods of time, lift 75 pounds, and use a variety of hand tools.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Project Management
    Manage midsized to large, technically complex projects in the shop and field

    Prepare proposals, including cost estimates, work scopes, and schedules

    Represent Clean-Flo in client interactions, cultivate rapport with and understand customers concerns and priorities

    Manage project procurement including materials, equipment, and subcontractors

    Plan, schedule, and coordinate field work, manage project costs and profitability

    Manage subcontractor selection and performance

    Design and construct pumping, compressed air, liquid dosing, and other mechanical systems

    Identify and resolve day-to-day quality, technical, and operational issues

    Identify root causes of operations issues and implement corrective actions

    Collect field data using water, sediment dredge, sediment core, tow net, and other sampling equipment

    Prepare chains of custody and labels, use correct preservation techniques, and observe required hold times and handling for water and sediment samples

    Organize and analyze laboratory data

    Keep meticulous field notes and file organization, prepare reports that translate field data to lay people or experts and explain restoration alternatives

    Team Leadership
    Assist leadership in planning and developing team objectives, policies, and processes

    Set priorities and schedules for the team to ensure task completion

    Develop Standard Operating Procedures

    Provide coaching, timely feedback and performance evaluations for direct reports

    Keep team members informed on policies, procedures, deadlines, and general communications

    Drive pickup trucks and pull trailers

    Operate boats (Jon-Boat with outboard, pontoon boat with outboard, kayak)

    Mandatory Qualifications

    Professional Engineer Registration in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, or ability to obtain within one year.

    Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical engineering.


    5-10 years experience in the design and operation of water or wastewater treatment systems, construction management, project management, or mechanical systems manufacturing.

    Required Experiences


    Demonstrated experience leading multiple projects valued up to $1M.Documentation of this experience may be requested as part of the interview process.

    Demonstrated technical writing and proposal writing skills.
    Writing samples may be requested as part of the interview process.

    Demonstrated ability to take initiative and assert leadership.

    PMP Certification desired

    Excellent communication skills and people skills.

    Advanced proficiency in MS office software.

    Experience with the review and interpretation of technical specifications and drawings.

    Construction or manufacturing management:
    scheduling, submittals, requests for information, procurement, client meetings, and payment applications.

    Use of sonar systems, Google Earth, Autocad, and GIS mapping software.

    Technical experience with product dosing, compressed air, water pumping, logic control, telemetric, and other mechanical systems.

    Hands-on experience with tools.

    Salary:
    $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
