Summary

This position is located in the Civil Rights Division's (Division), Administrative Management Section (ADM). As a Litigation Support Specialist, you will be an expert in Electronic Discovery and litigation support activities and manages the litigation technology and support components associated with one or more complex and highly technical cases and/or projects, as dictated by project requirements and staffing levels within the Division.

The incumbent will serve as a Litigation Support Specialist. Duties include, but are not limited to:

As subject matter expert, incumbent identifies E-Discovery and litigation support personnel to create, operate, and maintain the automated litigation system process.

Provides advice to attorneys and legal staff teams in understanding advanced analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities of supported software tools and applications and advises trial staff on leveraging these tools to meet critical case needs.

Serves as the primary Electronic Discovery participant in pretrial (., depositions, hearings, Rule 26(f) conferences, and trial proceedings; instructs and trains attorneys and support staff on the use of cutting-edge litigation support technologies; and performs support duties associated with, electronic presentations in the courtroom and pretrial conferences.

Designs and manages database systems (., Relativity, IPRO) for access by multiple users and monitors data integrity to ensure the accuracy and currency of the information contained within the databases.

Prepares and provides periodic status reports for use by other senior-level staff and Division management to keep abreast of litigation support activity planned or under way and budget status.

Responds to questions that arise concerning electronic litigation support.
