    Description
    The IT Support Specialist supports the IT needs of staff, addressing issues through the company's IT ticket system. This role reports to the Information Technology Manager and is located in the Arlington office. This is a full-time position.
    Essential Functions
    Provide IT support to staff
    Help monitor the IT Support inbox and ticketing system
    Build sustainable relationships and trust with staff by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism
    Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right resources
    Develop and update IT instructions
    Identify new processes, techniques and procedures to upgrade and enhance services
    Help onboard new staff
    Set up accounts, computers and IT equipment for new staff
    Secondary Functions
    Help manage the company's IT systems
    Set up accounts and computers for new staff
    Develop strategies and recommend policies that govern delivery of customer support services throughout the organization
    Evaluate the effectiveness of existing applications, trends and patterns in customer usage and systemic problems
    Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned
    Requirements
    Competencies
    Strong phone handling skills and active listening
    Excellent communication and presentation skills
    Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
    A knack for problem-solving
