    Description
    Job ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this position is to support the Controller as a business partner to the Lead Team.

    This person will help review and oversee the accounting and reporting of plant metrics and other financial data, assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and policies and procedures, and assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Plant Controller.


    Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    Identifying key levers to drive business improvement and providing leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunitiesDetermining, in conjunction with the lead team, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitabilityDeploying business unit initiativesAssisting in daily reporting management, monthly forecasting, and annual planningAnalyzing data for decision making and tracking performance progressCoordination of the capital appropriation process and post-project reviewsManaging journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts for monthly closeHelping ensure completion of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controlsPerforming job duties in a safe and efficient mannerComplying with and business unit financial reporting requirementsPerforming other work related duties as necessaryBusiness travel may be requiredJob RolesEnterprise minded-understands the needs of the business and how decisions affect P&L, balance sheet and future capabilities, influences cap-ex based on broad business caseResponsive expertise-prepared with information to help guide decision making both upon request and future planning basedCompliance-organized and aware of legal and local ramifications to decisions and practices proactively prepared for auditsData-oriented-anticipates and solves problems from a data-informed perspective forecasts accurately and tracks closely intervenes in ways that influence numbersInvolved and curious-spends time on the shop floor to understand business in greater detail seeks to make improvements and strengthen partnerships through relationship and comprehension understands operational consequences of decisionsAnalysis-reviews decisions and data ex post facto to glean increased understanding incorporates learning into future decision-makingAccountability-compares business case to actual performance and collaborates with other leaders to ensure success of investmentsInterpretation and translation-able to tell a story with the data brings life to the numbers through observation and familiarity with the businessPrioritization-understands market and organizational conditions and prioritizes efforts accordingly manages tension between revenue and costs, etc.
