Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will provide quality assurance support to the product development team, resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform inline audits of manufacturing processes and products to print, work instructions, or other controlled documentation.
- Verify products are being manufactured per documented standard practices, work instructions or other approved manufacturing methods.
- Provide Quality support to all associates and assist their efforts to perform at the highest levels.
- Calibrate measuring equipment. May require interfacing with third party calibration resources.
- Converse with customers and suppliers regarding quality expectations.
- Work collaboratively to continuously improve all aspects of Macro Magnetics product quality and production/testing processes to yield world class customer satisfaction.
- Maintain quality records in accordance with Macro Magnetics standards.
- Facilitate RMA warranty process product return from customers.
- Qualify customer Service Requests to repair damaged customer product not under warranty.
- Perform testing process requirements as a backup for coverages etc.
- Designs, implements, and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization's production processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, and decisionmaking skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, versioncontrol procedures, and defect management processes.
- Superb computer proficiency, including database management.
Education and Experience:
- Quality Engineer Certification, or equivalent technical certification, required.
- Three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
