    Our manufacturing client in the Muskegon, MI area is is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations.

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency through analytical excellence and a proactive approach.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Conduct monthly booking audits and design controls to ensure financial integrity.
    Prepare and review monthly accruals, forecasts, and analyses on inventory, productivity, and variances.
    Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to enhance financial accuracy and compliance.
    Create monthly dashboards showcasing key performance indicators (KPIs).
    Analyze monthly Profit & Loss statements and provide detailed reports.
    Develop and maintain financial tools to assist area managers in tracking budgets and costs.
    Engage in ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as needed.
    Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies to enhance financial performance.
    Embrace a continuous improvement mindset to refine financial processes.
    Prepare and present detailed financial results to management.
    Assist in the formulation and development of annual budgets.
    Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to support and achieve budgeted outcomes.
    Lead cross-functional teams on productivity-enhancing projects.
    Undertake special projects as required by management.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a relevant field.
    Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, data analysis, or financial controlling.

    Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
    Profound analytical and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

    Skilled in presenting complex financial information to executive-level audiences.
    High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, no macros required).
