- 6+ years of marketing experience
- 4+ plus years of direct management experience, including hiring and recruiting talent

About the Position
Hemlock is looking for a Marketing Director who will play a vital role on the leadership team. This position will report directly to the CEO and will lead the development and execution of the company's marketing strategy. This person will work closely with our sales and creative departments to align our marketing efforts with overall business and creative objectives and goals.
Big picture responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of marketing including digital and physical advertising, brand awareness, events, press, PR and the management of all our digital marketing. The marketing director will need to monitor and analyze market trends, paid ad performance, consumer behavior, email & SMS marketing, SEO & SEM and monitor competitors to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
Daily tasks will likely include developing and implementing marketing campaigns and strategy across all channels, including social media and influencer marketing, email marketing, SMS, B2B and in person events. They will also be responsible for the management and oversight of the marketing team as well as outside agencies who offer service to the company.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate needs a creative mindset to come up with innovative ideas and campaigns that capture customers' attention and generate buzz for the brand all why being able to measure how those campaigns perform. On the flip side, they also need to be very analytical to track and analyze marketing data, search and SEO performance and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve business objectives.
This person needs to be comfortable with ambiguity and figuring out the best possible path towards our goal. This role will have a direct report and will be responsible for building a team as the organization grows. We need someone who is not afraid to "get their hands dirty" and help with the day-to-day work, even if it is a little outside the scope of the Marketing Director's responsibility.
Overall, we are looking for a specific type of person who has the capability to balance creative work, analysis of data, project, and people management, and most importantly aligns with our culture and shares our values.
