    Description

This is a position ideal for someone with 10+ years of marketing experience who is looking to lead a dynamic marketing team.

    The Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in driving the execution of the JLab brand and product strategy across the US market, quarterbacking the brand marketing team. This position is responsible for overseeing critical aspects of brand marketing, including product launches, PR, partnership maximization, media and brand storytelling. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams (creative and ecommerce teams especially) to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and drives initiatives to enhance brand equity, awareness, and engagement.

    This is a full-time position based in our Carlsbad, CA, an awesome work environment with an open, light-filled space (plus ping pong table), team events and product perks. Boring people need not apply. No previous ping pong skills necessary. Some travel may be necessary.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Own the marketing calendar and deadlines. Deliver and communicate key activities across the organization and ensure internal teams are delivering on time.
    • Campaign and product launches: Own the execution and fine-tuning of product and brand launches. Refine and share our brand strategy to ensure alignment with our business goals and objectives.
    • PR: Manage communications and PR strategy that garners a strong share of voice from earned media, positioning the brand as a respected market driver.
    • Budget Management: Manage the brand marketing budget effectively across all channels.
    • Social Media: Lead and coordinate implementation of a earned social media strategy and content across the company's owned channels, ensuring it aligns with our business goals, voice, and brand, and improves engagement.
    • Maximize partnership investments across our golf and college sports programs, with the support of the senior manager, lifestyle marketing.
    • Monthly tracking and review of brand growth, reach and initiatives. Reviewing budgets and ROI across all programs. Present monthly and quarterly analytics and recommendations to the CMO based on data-driven insights and qualitative learnings from ongoing brand measurement. Execute annual brand survey.
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to solicit continuous feedback on current and future marketing tactics, launch new products, and leverage internal analytics resources to measure the success.
    • Collaborate and negotiate with external marketing agencies to develop more effective and efficient marketing plans.
    • Stay up-to-date on trends across marketing, culture and industry to grow the JLab brand

    Requirements:

    10+ years of relevant experience in marketing with an emphasis on building brands

    5+ years of leadership experience managing a team

    Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence and collaborate across functions and with all organization levels.

    Strong operation and execution ability with proven ability to build activations with digital, social, PR, and media.

    Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within tight timeframes and deadlines in a dynamic working environment.

    Results-driven with a track record of successfully managing and growing brands

    Must have enthusiasm for sports, music, audio, and technology

    Travel and work some weekends, depending on event
