    Description

    A multi-asset, multi-billion dollar AUM, quant strategy hedge fund are looking to make a newly created trading desk operations hire.

    Working alongside an industry leading investment team, the hire will work a remit combining line operations / middle office + tech / project work. As most of the operational processes are automated, the line operations work is typically oversight or detailed analysis on high volumes of multi-asset data produced by the system - there is very limited manual work. Given the firm's focus on automation, the hire will always work on process improvement projects + the build out of new tools - with this in mind + the requirement to produce high level, detailed performance analytics, the hire can expect to become an advanced user of python, SQL and VBA.

    Progression opportunities are varied. There is direct, upward trajectory in the operations / MO team, however previous operations analysts have moved into investment analyst, execution trader, risk and treasury positions.

    Candidates should have 2-5yrs experience in a hedge fund or IB operations / trade support / middle office role. A top tier academic profile is favoured, as are existing programming skills.

    All operations analysts in the team last year earned a $250-300k total comp package, however considering fund and individual performance being variable, we are pitching the role at $200-300k total comp.
