General Summary:

The CSR is responsible for overseeing the day-to day operations of the client service department helping assure optimal productivity and customer service. Working along the side of co-workers to enhance hospital performance. Ensures client oriented, courteous and thorough communications with clients.

Creating a positive learning environment is essential and negativity or favoritism will not be tolerated.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs all functions of a receptionist expertly.
Report any personnel issues to PM
Assists in ensuring that all schedule openings are covered.
Assists in training staff on tasks/customer service initiatives/policies & procedures.
Maintains a clean, safe and professional work environment.
Ensures that adequate supplies are maintained.
Notify PM of any broken equipment or missing supplies
Assists in developing and implementing P&Ps to ensure effective workflow.
Ensures that checklists and daily housekeeping tasks are completed and initialed.
Assists doctors and management staff as requested.
Ensures that confirmations, scanning and shredding are completed on a daily basis.
All other responsibilities as assigned.
High level understanding and usage of PetDesk, email and all other client communication tools
Properly documents all communication and medical records in our PIMs

Qualifications:

High school diploma

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication.
Organized and meticulous.
Knowledge of basic veterinary terms and procedures.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Patience and respect for clients, patients, and employees.
Ability to deal with fast pace and stressful situations.

Physical Demands:

Standing and walking 50% of the time.
Computer work.
High stress environment.
