Immediate opening for an experienced Customer Service Representative in a busy sales office in Essex County, NJ.

Primary responsibilities will be but not limited to:

Summary of Position:


  • Purchase Order processing
  • Manage blanket orders and shipping schedules
  • Review Terms and Conditions for acceptability
  • Access web portals for PO pickup and processing as required
  • Replacement order entry

Major activities and responsibilities:


  • Review/Enter/Modify Customer Sales Orders
  • Prepare customer quotations when required
  • Solicit vendor costs as needed
  • Manage blanket orders and shipping schedules
  • Review Terms and Conditions for acceptability
  • Access Customer Online Portals to retrieve new orders, confirm existing orders, effect change orders
  • Identify and assess customers' requirements and follow through to completion
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with large customer base through thorough, indepth, open, and interactive communication
  • Work directly with customers with issues pertaining to pricing discrepancies, shipping details, and billing and mailing address issues or discrepancies. Nonroutine issues are to be discussed with the Sales Manager for directions and proper procedure.
  • Act as liaison between the customer and management in the resolution of customer issues/discrepancies.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, coworkers, and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • The position calls for the individual to have a keen attention to detail, be energetic, enthusiastic and have a good working knowledge of various computer software systems.

Additional requirements (if any):


  • Backup the Inside Sales representatives when needed in order to process PO's.
  • Backup to the Cost Estimating representative where assistance is needed in order to process customer RFQ's in an expeditious manner.
