    Job DescriptionPurchasing Administrative Assistant

    • The location of the position is on the outskirts of Downtown Houston with easy access to Metro Rail Park N Ride Stations.
    Your New Role: Join an established higher education organization in Houston, TX as the Purchasing Administrative Assistant where you will assist with preparing formal bid documents for goods and services to ensure materials comply with federal, state, and local procurement regulations, compile reference data from a variety of sources, maintain purchasing documents, files, and records, process financial data and documents, and participate in meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends to offer a good work/life balance. Your Experience:
    • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
    • Two (2) years of office experience is required.
    • Essential knowledge of procurement software and tools is a strong advantage.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to generate reports via Pivot Tables, XLookup, and VLookups is a strong plus.
    • The ability to catch on quickly with a drive to learn and a positive attitude is highly sought after.
