    POSITION Senior Sales Manager - DC

    Conveniently situated between Union Station and the U.Capitol Building, YOTEL Washington DC is the perfect place for meetings, parties and gatherings.

    Join us at YOTEL Washington DC as our Senior Sales Manager.

    YOTEL's Senior Sales Manager will handle all group, catering and Guest Room opportunities within a given deployment, from the initial sales call and developing the relationship, to detailing and servicing the group, ensuring client satisfaction.

    This will include negotiating room rates, meeting space requirements, preparing sales agreements, managing inventory, and creating Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes.

    ~ Group Sales Manager Major Duties & Responsibilities:
    Attends all mandatory meetings and trainings to include BEO meeting, Group pick-up meetings, and Commercial/Strategy meetings.

    A strong understanding of revenue management skills to include optimizing our mix of hotel business and the use of historical data.

    Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits. Proactively participate in the comprehensive sales and marketing efforts by researching, identifying, targeting, and solidifying new business opportunities.
    Participates in sales related events, receptions, trips, trade shows, client meetings and related events, and networking functions.
    Ensures attrition, food & beverage minimums and meeting room rental charges are met.

    Works closely with Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Mission Control, and Accounting Departments to ensure we deliver on exceeding guest expectations.

    Communicate, demonstrate, and support the company culture, vision, values and branding standards in all aspects of sales and marketing activities
    Create and activate an on brand YOTEL site inspection experience
    Partner with the operations team to ensure all group needs are met, encouraging repeat business.
    Collaborate to create promotions for specific accounts and time periods
    Maintains a friendly & cohesive work environment with crew, internal departments & guests


    Sales Manager Skills/Qualifications:
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel sales/events/catering in a management role.
    Must have the ability to solicit, qualify and secure business in addition to growing existing accounts.
    Understand basic contractual terms as applied to sales agreements
    Schedule flexibility and ability to travel
    Excellent presentation, communication, organization and computer skill
    Experience with sales tools such as Cvent, Agency 360, as well as Opera are preferred.
    Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    Professional in their outlook, taking pride in their appearance, performance and reputation
