Reilly McCormick

Hello! My Name is Reilly McCormick. I a, recreation professional from Washington, D.C. I am looking to return to the city in a full time recreation role. 
 

I have served in a variety of positions in both the public and private sector. Most notably I have worked for M-NCPPC for several years. 

I have a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation administration and a general business minor from The University of Mississippi. I am currently enrolled in Frostburg State University‘s online sports, parks, and recreation management master’s program. 
I am also a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional through the National Recreation and Parks Association! 

In addition to graduate school…I currently serve as President of Blackwater Conservation Association, a nonprofit I founded in 2023 to preserve the Chesapeake Bay  in 5is role I oversee a board of thirteen, two interns, and several Volunteers. 
 

I am also a supply chain logistics contractor at MGM National Harbor assisting their Special Events Department  in this role I work as a problem solver helping the, reach deadlines and save money where’ve possible . In this role I oversee a team of eight contractors  and work alongside a team of seventeen.

I am passionate about brytetign my community through offering quality and meaningful recreation opportunities.

Blackwater Conservation Association Inc 

• Event programming and execution with upwards of one hundred attendees and per event. Partnership with multiple partnering organizations.

- Maintaining relationships with key donors, corporate partners, and customers.

• Staff scheduling, bookkeeping, talent acquisition, and staff evaluation. 
• Oversee and direct a team of twelve employees, volunteers, and interns.
• Secured grants, sponsorships, partnerships, and donations. 
• Created an eye catching digital marketing strategy to increase event attendance and merchandise sales.

• Utilized my extensive connections in Maryland parks and recreation to secure partnerships between Blue Star Families and partnering organizations.

-Conducted outreach to local organizations and formed partnerships for Welcome Week events, Blue Star’s flagship event.

Maryland-National Capital Parks & Planning Commission 

- Programmed and executed unique programs each week to ensure camper and parent satisfaction.  

- Directed five employees and multiple volunteers. 

- Coordinated transpiration of fifty campers, equipment, and staff between multiple facilities.

- Responsible for facility upkeep including cratering daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance schedules.
