    Overview:

    Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Project Engineer to be based out of Fresno, CA. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

    Legacy Foundations

    Since the mid-1990s, Shimmick company Legacy Foundations has been providing self-perform geotechnical and foundations services for critical infrastructure projects. Legacy a complete portfolio of deep foundation, slope stabilization, shoring systems; and ground improvement services. Legacy also maintains a large fleet of specialized equipment fleet.

    Today, Shimmick is at the forefront of delivering solutions to meet the nations growing demand for water infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Under general supervision, performs routine duties.
    • Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
    • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
    • Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
    • Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
    • May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Heavy Civil Construction experience preferred
    • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail

    Additional Information:

    • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

    The salary range for this position is between $XX0,000 - XX,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.

    Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical - including a NO-COST option, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.

    These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
