The Department of Civil Engineering of the city of Esslingen am Neckar is responsible for the infrastructure in the areas of roads, paths, squares with engineering structures, sewage systems, and water bodies.

The Department of Roads, Paths, and Squares is responsible for the complex and demanding tasks related to the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of approximately 400 km of roads.

In particular, the design of traffic facilities in existing conditions with regard to changing mobility offers and forms, climate protection, and related climate adaptation, are applied in future-oriented project management and coordination.

The Department of Civil Engineering is looking for a
Project Manager (m/f/d) for Road Construction/Maintenance to start as soon as possible - on an indefinite and full-time basis.


Your tasks:


  • You independently carry out preliminary, draft, and execution planning of roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths according to HOAI
  • You take on road infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainable mobility
  • You are familiar with the common guidelines of the FGSV and can apply them to the planning of road infrastructure projects
  • You take on the task of preparing construction projects by determining quantities for the tendering of road construction projects
  • You act as the client for the city of Esslingen and cooperate with external service providers and engineering offices
