the Hampton Inn Dupont, the Comfort Suites North, and the Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites (a dual property location).
As the Sales Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn/Home2 Suites, your general responsibilities will lie in sales, leadership, and community involvement.
Your primary functions in sales would include providing leadership support and direction to the meetings and catering team, and taking an active role in the preparation and implementation of meetings and catering and other hotel sales objectives.
Your primary functions in leadership would be motivating, coaching, and training team members, setting goals, holding team members accountable for those goals, and providing appropriate feedback/performance goals, rewards, and recognition as well as demonstrating a high level of integrity, taking ownership of personal and team actions, communicating effectively, and promoting collaboration, nurturing a positive, professional work environment.
Your primary function in community involvement would be ensuring good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government, and other community and civic organizations.
It is preferred that you have Bachelor's degree and/or previous experience in the hospitality industry, a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent communications skills, and the abilities to problem-solve, multi-task, and work weekends.
