    Position Overview

  • SCOPE OF ROLE :

    • The Intake Specialist assists in coordinating and monitoring all activities connected with potential resident intake, answering calls as it pertains to Single Point of Access (SPA).

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials
  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications
  • Receive and interact with incoming visitors
  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels
  • Interact with external clients
  • Provides timely, accurate and clear documentation according to established policies and procedures.
  • Handles unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges, deadlines and emergencies.
  • Other duties as requested by Program Director

    • The salary for this role is 19.23/HR

    Qualifications

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

    • Experience:

  • CASAC-T required, CASAC preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License a plus, but not required.
