- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives for our retail box store chain.
- Identify new business opportunities within the retail sector and develop strategies for expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and suppliers.
- Lead and develop team of 6 direct reports; Business Development, Market Segment Manager's - x4 and Merchandising Manager.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for individual stores and regions.
- Analyze sales data and retail trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity and retail industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
- Develop and maintain a high-performance sales culture focused on customer satisfaction and retention within the retail box store environment.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on retail sales performance, forecasts, and strategy execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as retail industry regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Retail Sales Director or similar leadership role within the retail industry, with a minimum of 6 years in retail sales management.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in a retail box store environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a retail sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of retail sales techniques and methodologies.
- Experience in retail box store operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in retail-specific software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to individual store locations as needed.
