- Develop and implement a Digital Transformation Change Management Center of Excellence to proliferate the use of Change Management including framework(s), strategies, plans, practices, and templates to maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
- Leading and coordinating change management activities by integrating change management activities/tasks into ITS project plans, acting as a coach for Sponsors, frontline managers, and supervisors as they help people through changes.
- Collaborate with LMU staff (Provost office, Marketing and Communications) and external partners (AJCU and Educause) and suppliers for program success.
- Ensure ITS outreach, training, marketing, communications, events, and products are proactive, timely, high quality, and effective in support of projects, services, and operations.
- Assess and monitor the adoption of ITS services where change management, training and marketing have been applied.
- Provide direct supervision to the ITS Training and Communications employee.
- Lead and support ITS People and Culture initiatives to create a supportive environment for employees to work, grow, and develop. For example, the creation of a new vision statement or changes to the departments cultural values would require the CM to lead the way on making changes a reality.
- Develop and manage a User Experience program that identifies opportunities for improvement and training for students, faculty, and staff. For example, prior to or post new system implementation, the CM might pull in users and show them how to perform a new task, say it takes ten clicks, and then ask the user about the experience. Is it as easy as the technical leads say it was? If not, the CM may decide user training is needed.
- Perform outreach duties to increase community awareness of ITS services, initiatives, and time-sensitive tasks, as assigned.
- Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations.
- A bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration, organizational psychology or management OR related hands-on experience.
- At least three years of experience leading Organizational Change Management efforts and teams in support of technology and digital transformation projects, including planning, developing, and applying change management practices and tools.
- An Organizational Change Management certification is required. (LMU prefers Prosci, but any will do including a CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional) or CMS (Change Management specialist), or Cornell University Change Management Certification or a CPCM (Certified Problem and Change Manager) cert.
- Strong stakeholder management skills including expertise in building trust, negotiating, and influencing others to support change.
- Excellent leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and inspire ITS team members and stakeholders.
