    Description

    We are seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to join our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The Application Production Support Engineer will be responsible for using their technical expertise to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of applications. This position is hybrid in San Francisco, CA.

    *MUST HAVE: Monitoring experience using Dynatrace; SRE, Azure & PowerShell scripting

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Execute the resolution of application-related incidents, ensuring timely response and resolution in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Implement and manage a structured problem management process to identify root causes of recurring incidents and drive long-term solutions.
    • Establish and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, system failures, and other issues.
    • Work closely with infrastructure teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support workflows.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and across departments to enhance collective expertise and capabilities.
    • Interface with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve issues, escalate support tickets, and advocate for the company's interests.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
    • Proven experience (7+years) in application support or operations roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
    • Deep understanding of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
    • Proficiency in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
    • Experience with monitoring tools, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
    • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
