I am Roméo Phillips, a Software & Data Engineer with broad and comprehensive experience across various industries (AdTech, Retail, Real Estate, and Finance).

I have been working at Echo Analytics for two years now as a Data Engineer, which allowed me to gain hands-on experience in managing, developing, and up-keeping our various Data lakes with billions of new Data points coming each day. My technical expertise contains a wide range of tools such as Airflow, Google Cloud Platform Suite (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Composer, etc..), Pandas/GeoPandas, Terraform, DataDog, Great Expectations, Looker Studio, and many others. I've leveraged these tools to handle data effectively and come up with meaningful insights from these.
 

Prior to my current role at Echo Analytics, I interned at Davis Instruments in California in 2021, where I worked on features to calculate UV radius and sun exposure to their mobile app, initially using Java & Swift, and later migrating to Flutter. This practical application of my coding skills underpins my ability to adapt to new programming languages and environments.

In my most recent personal side project, I designed and developed a Twitter bot that monitors service disruptions on the Paris Metro system and generates valuable insights and statistics about the performance of various Metro lines. The bot, named @METROQualite, made quite a significant impact with over 6.5K followers. Its success led to multiple interviews with French media outlets. It provided an extraordinary opportunity for me to meet and discuss with the current CEO of the French Metro company (Jean Castex), who also happens to be the former Prime Minister of the French Government.
