Summary Of Position-
We are seeking a Manager, Business Development to act as a liaison between the Marketing and Sales teams, overseeing a team who will generate, vet, and present new business leads.
This position will be the first point of contact within the Business Development Representative (BDR) team as they work with potential customers.
This position will interact closely with the President, PJS, Chief Sales Officer, VP of Sales, and Marketing leadership, among other internal leadershipEssential Duties & Responsibilities-
Establish and run weekly team meetings including: 1:1s with direct reports & check-in's and/or check-out's daily
Foster the full sales cycle and support rules of engagement from lead generation and qualifying to closing within internal partners across the EAG sales organization
Build & iterate objection handling, cold call scripts, and value stories to effectively set meetings
Collaborate with sales enablement to build reports, dashboards, and tools to manage success of the team and organization
Monitor team member calls to provide a strong feedback loop for skill improvement
Understand and pose discovery questions to assist the team with qualifying prospects and understand what products or services can be proposed to the prospective clients
Report to leadership weekly, monthly, and quarterly based on quotas
Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the team
Create new ideas for better time management within the BDR team
Become an industry expert around aviation knowledge and practices
Develop strong working relationships with cross functional teams
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-
Proficiency with Google Workspace and CRM Software including outbound software such as SalesLoft, , , etc.
Experience managing a team with high volume activities
Must be comfortable with frequent cold calls to prospective clients and possess outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build strong business relationships
Ability to effectively coach and mentor direct reports
Ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams while meeting team goals
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Education & Experience-
5+ years of experience in management overseeing sales, marketing and/or business development department
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent relevant experience required
Schedule & Travel-
Standard business hours are expected in this role
Ability to travel as required up to 10%
Miscellaneous-
FLSA Status- Full Time exempt
Lifting requirements- Up to 20lbs.
