    Description
    Position Highlights:
    • Greets all patients and visitors and answers incoming calls for the ambulatory clinic site of care
    • Obtains and records demographic and insurance information
    • Schedules patient appointments, procedures and/or diagnostic tests with appropriate physicians and/or departments and obtains pre-authorization for ancillary or referral appointments
    • Collects necessary payment and acts as a clinic-based resource and liaison to the hospital business office for patients who may have questions related to their physician and/or hospital bills
    • Professionally and effectively communicates information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on patient service and patient confidentiality
    Responsibilities:
    • Performs accurate and complete registration for appointments
    • Verifies patient insurance for all services rendered and obtains required referrals or pre-authorization as needed
    • Provides and contributes to the delivery of a positive patient experience and receives and communicates all complaints to the manager
    • Prepares charts or patient records for clinical team as needed
    Requirements
    • Minimum 1 year of experience
    • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills is required
    • Customer service experience required
    • Healthcare experience preferred
