The Operations Manager is a key contributor within Donaldson's growing Life Sciences organization, responsible for developing and executing the functional and strategic projects that transform the manufacturing operations. This individual will be a part of a growing area of the company and comfortable with an adapting, transforming area. This role will work out of our Bloomington, MN location.

Role Responsibilities:

Lead and transform the manufacturing processes into a world-class, high-performing manufacturing operation capable of long-term, reliable production
Attract and develop talent to build a scalable organization supporting an aggressive growth
Prepares operational schedule and coordinates facility design and validation, manufacturing process development, process validation, and manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Directs and coordinates the engineering work to ensure that the facility, equipment, and process design is delivered and validated per customer specifications within the planned budget and timelines.
Assure compliance with all applicable quality, safety and regulatory standards (FDA, BSI,GMP)
Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for developing, validating, and manufacturing products in concurrence with business needs.
Ensures programs are maintained, the plant is compliant with standards, and the appropriate training is effectively given to all employees.
Develops and revises standard operational procedures and observes employees to ensure compliance.
Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
Develops and monitors plant's operational budget.
Assists employees and managers in solving work-related problems. Evaluates the issue and meets with managers and human resources to determine the most effective remediation technique.
Develops and works with supervisors in all areas such as employee relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary action, terminations, equipment problems, etc.

TRAVEL: Up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical degree
5+ years of experience in process development or manufacturing in industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology)
2+ years of management experience
Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management experience on complex projects
Working experience in ERP systems, preferably Oracle
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification(s)
