Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Zamboni Driver is responsible for maintaining a quality ice surface through scheduled resurfacings and other assigned ice maintenance at the Arena.

The Zamboni Driver is responsible for the cleanliness of locker rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, bleachers, and hallways, as well as other assigned areas.

Examples of Duties

This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required.

Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain cleanliness of ice rink, locker rooms, bleachers and areas surrounding as assigned by the supervisor.
Measure and record ice measurements to ensure quality ice for all users.
Maintain facility schedule by following posted resurfacing times.
Perform cleaning whenever needed to maintain the facility and its surroundings in a clean and respectable condition.
Work as a team member to ensure that the entire building is cleaned, stocked and ready for the next day's operation.
Communicate with supervisor and other staff members any concerns and/or needs of the building and its equipment.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff and supervisors.
Provide customer service, share information, and solve issues with the general public.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the operations manager, or other fulltime arena employees.
Assist in the closing of the building as needed.

Typical Qualifications

Valid Illinois drivers license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
General knowledge of Ice Arena operations
Experience operating ice resurfacing equipment.
