Job Overview:

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Oversee daily operations of the terminal, focusing on least cost freight handling while maintaining a culture of zero accidents and injuries.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize labor costs, ensuring staffing aligns with volume and operational demands.
  • Consistently achieve service objectives to maintain high customer satisfaction, and monitor key performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Control facility costs per pallet and maximize trailer cube utilization to minimize transportation expenses and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement policies to reduce Pickup & Delivery (P&D) and linehaul miles, aiming for optimal route planning and cost savings
  • Improve driver retention through a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development
  • Hit MPG targets and foster fuel efficiency with regular vehicle maintenance and robust driver training programs
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to transportation and warehouse operation
  • Recruit, train, and develop a strong team, promoting a culture of high performance, morale, and teamwork
  • Foster and manage customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service and prompt resolution of any concerns. Consistently achieve service objectives to maintain high customer satisfaction, and monitor service metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the terminal budget, managing both expenses and resource allocation efficiently
  • Ensure the maintenance and functionality of all terminal equipment and technology, supporting both current and future operational needs

Qualifications:


  • P&L Experience *Labor Planning
  • P&D Routing *Rudimentary Fleet Maintenance Knowledge
  • Budgeting & Forecasting *OSHA & DOT Knowledge

Pay:
$100, $130,000.00 per year
