- Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred: 1 year nursing experience.
- Provides direct patient care according to nursing and medical plan of care and within scope of practice, using population-specific guidelines.
- Involves patient and family or significant others in plan of care. Collaborates with other health care team members.
- Documents plan of care provided per established guidelines.
- Identifies and implements opportunities for practice changes based on evidence-based nursing literature and research.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
