Ideal candidates will be classically trained and have extensive knowledge of traditional and regional French cuisine.Back of house leadership experience in a fine dining context is essential for success in this role, and candidates must be comfortable managing and documenting P&L, managing BoH staff and hiring, and communicating with upper management.
The
Executive Chef will be tasked with adapting and elevating the existing Manny's menu to center authentic and regional French dishes and highly seasonal specials while preserving the essence of a New York French Bistro and accounting for the tastes of extant clientele.
This role will include extensive authority over creative direction and staffing, and we are seeking a chef with vigor and vision to help take the restaurant to a new level in a fine dining direction.
To this end, Manny's is committed to sourcing product from top producers, and we seek a chef who shares our vision of a quality-centered and chef-driven menu showcasing regional and seasonal ingredients used to elevate classic French dishes.
Who we are:
Manny's is an Upscale Casual venture situated in the Lincoln Center neighborhood of Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Opened in 2020 after the manager of the location's previous incarnation, Bistro Cassis, took the restaurant over, new owner Manuel Colon has since worked tirelessly to "take the restaurant to a new level." The project is now embarking on a transition to a more elevated take on the classic French Bistro concept, and the visionary
