Our Washington DC team is currently seeking a Programs Coordinator
who can shape and execute program objectives, develop content, and coordinate a wide range of activities for programs and projects undertaken by our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
As a Programs Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing program tasks that include managing the client relationship, managing resources, and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders to ensure a successful completion of our various programs.
Here are some of the key responsibilities you can expect in this role:Plan, coordinate and execute program activities and events.
As the Programs Coordinator, you will coordinate activities related to the education, research, and exchange of program content and its deliverables such as Visiting Fellows, seminars/webinars, social media, and special projects.
You will develop processes to ensure quality assurance throughout the program life cycle; establish programmatic agenda including interviews, briefings, and public seminars; and ensure timely resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise.
You must communicate with stakeholders and other members of the project team to ensure continued alignment with program objectives.Assist with program engagement and expansion.
You will support the program's continued development and expansion, promote program visibility, and showcase program outcomes. This includes managing designated websites, data visualization tools, publications and data visualizations, as well as designated social media activity.
You will also be responsible for managing participant engagement, ensuring that program participants remain supported and engaged throughout their involvement with our programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED FOR THE ROLE
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
Master's Degree and Previous Work Experience
You will need to possess a master's degree relevant to the work performed (such as international relations, public policy, and/or Asian studies) and at least one (1) year of work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
Excellent Communication SkillsYou will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and to navigate complex cultural and political dynamics.
Your skills should also demonstrate the ability to also provide clear and concise instructions in a professional manner.Comfortable Working in a Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment
You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This role requires the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure. You must be able to adapt to changing circumstances quickly and be comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.
Additionally, you must be able to work collaboratively with a team, as well as be self-directed and able to work independently.
Able to Handle Sensitive and Confidential InformationYou will have direct access to, and some involvement with, multilateral activities that are highly sensitive and have geopolitical significance and implications.
Thus, confidentiality and privacy are of paramount importance.You will be held to a high standard of behavior in this regard and must be able to always maintain confidentiality and privacy.
Attention to DetailYou will need to have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to spot issues and take corrective action before they become bigger problems.
