    The Food for Thought Foundation is a 501(c)(3) young nonprofit dedicated to empowering food insecurity communities with resilient and reliable resources.

    Our current work surrounds developing innovative technological solutions for agricultural production while championing grassroots community efforts through educational programming.

    This effort culminates through our flagship program, Farms for Thought, which deploys vertical farms and an agricultural technology curriculum in schools to create local food distribution networks.

    Job Description:
    Are you passionate about food insecurity? Have you been looking to make a meaningful impact through volunteer work while developing your professional skills?
    The Food for Thought Foundation seeks a volunteer who is passionate about program management and development. This volunteer will be responsible for developing quality assurance and evaluation measures for our flagship program, Farms for Thought.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:
    A volunteer in this role you will be expected to:
    Work with Food for Thought Foundation staff to develop internal evaluation processes that determine the effectiveness of our programming.
    Contribute to and iterate on educational materials to improve content quality.

    Work with Food for Thought Foundation staff to initiate the certification process, increasing the transparency and scalability of our programs.

    Contribute to the back-end efficiency of Farms for Thought by refining and streamlining the internal training process.
    Create evaluation criteria for food-insecure communities to ensure an equitable distribution of our programming
    Work with the Food for Thought Foundation to research and develop a standardized food handling and distribution system
    Work Hours and Benefits
    Volunteers will have a 5-10 hour schedule Monday through Friday with the flexibility of schedule
