    We're looking for a growth-centric Programming and Development Manager to help us achieve our mission of becoming the best. Ideal candidates will be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Texas Headquarters in DFW.

    The Programming and Development Manager will work directly with the Programming, Development and Brand teams to help assess, curate, and produce original and acquired content for Great American Media's linear channels – Great American Family and Great American Faith & Living – and the SVOD service Great American Pure Flix.

    The manger will contribute to building the content libraries across the connected yet varied platforms of Great American Media, in accordance with specific brand style and standards. Responsibilities will include the regular review of incoming treatments, scripts, and screeners, often as the "first or final look."

    The manager will also assist with certain marketing/promotional needs and will be responsible for facilitating needs around (but not limited to) music review, newsletter materials, electronic press kit scripts, and social media creative. Close attention to detail and strong understanding of creative brainstorming, and story structure are core requirements. The manager will also take ownership of certain internal tracking grids and schedules. The ideal candidate is organized, a critical reader and writer, collaborative, and a true brand fan.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborates in reviewing script, screener, and source material submissions
    • Helps to schedule and lead brainstorming sessions around creative and promotions
    • Helps to run music review sessions and identify new tracks for original movies
    • Supports department with the ownership of tracking programming information
    • Supports programming and marketing with the packaging of promotional assets
    • Supports programming and marketing as a "first and or final check" of content edits
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree; 2 – 5 years industry or related experience
    • Critical reader, writer, and storyteller
    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
    • Knowledge of AVID, , Iconik, Smartsheets, Mail Chimp or Writerduet is a plus
    • Positive attitude and professional presence
