Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has created a new position as part of our exciting "Laboratory Transformation" Project. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to hire a Manager of Lab Billing and Compliance, whom will have responsibility for leading clinical laboratory billing coding and compliance within the Diagnostic Laboratories of the Medical Center. This position provides direction for lab leaders with regard to lab billing, CPT coding, and compliance and serves as a key resource to the VUMC Finance Teams. With the lab leadership team, the Manager of Lab defines billing and coding standards and monitors actual billing/revenue performance and when necessary identifies problems and initiates corrective actions..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Monitors and coordinates programs and actions within areas of responsibility; has overall accountability for lab billing, coding, and compliance.
*Develops work goals and objectives based on interpretation of organization plans and forecasts; plans to achieve goals or establish priorities through appropriate quality program development.
*Monitors all aspects of billing, coding, compliance, and revenue capture for the Diagnostic Laboratories.

Position Shift:
*VUMC, Main Campus in Nashville, Tennessee (TN), Exempt, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST

Consideration may be given to candidates that can obtain certification within 120 days, in accordance with state guidelines.
