- Effectively overseeing the day-to-day receiving duties of the Warehouse employees to include proper planning, delegation of work assignments, work prioritization and labor allocation
- Provide training, coaching and support for all employees in their assigned job duties
- Provide direct leadership in the receipt of inventory, stocking of shelves, space optimization and housekeeping
- Ensuring that an atmosphere of safety and respect for associates and customers exists in our warehouse at all times
- Assist in producing staffing plans to meet demand that may be predicated by increases to our business volume or opportunity, as needed
- Hold associates accountable to measurable KPI's and ensure they meet performance expectations
- Ensuring that an atmosphere of safety, professionalism and respect for associates and customers exists in our warehouse at all times
- Communicates issues, opportunities and obstacles as they arise
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
- Manage the training and/or the coordination of training for all new associates assigned to the Supervisor's team with the help of their direct manager and/or HR. Supervisor is also directly responsible for the completion of any and all training documentation within required intervals of time
- Responsible for maintaining familiarity as well as knowledge of company product line locations and priorities regarding incoming orders and how they relate to fill rates
- Will perform observations and provide feedback to assigned associates or teams to develop functional skills and the team overall. Frequency and tempo will change based on the size of the team or the needs of the business overall
- Expected to perform, participate and/or document the coaching, hiring, training, interviewing or disciplinary actions or any other administrative duties as needed as they relate to the coaching, development or career path of our associates
- Maintain a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
- Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, honesty, customer service and professionalism that creates positive experiences reflecting well upon assigned department and the company
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as a self starter with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with subordinates, peers and management, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to supervise & manage the operation in the absence of the General Manager
- Familiar in the use of warehouse management systems and applications
- Familiar with the use and management of an RF Scanner based system
- Ability to drive performance through analysis of departmental KPI's to aid in developing greater operational efficiency that constantly improves on-time receiving and inventory integrity
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on time management and accountability
- Interact and engage with members of the management team across multiple shifts to ensure that our standards of communication, accuracy, quality and safety are maintained on a daily basis
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team
