    Our Farm General Manager role. As a Farm General Manager (GM), you will be a key member of our farm and hub operations team in helping to build Vayda from the ground floor. Reporting directly to our Chief Farm Operations Officer, you will lead the management and day-to-day on-farm operations in one of our farm hubs, using high-tech solutions and equipment, and bringing your agronomics to bear through our regenerative systems. This role requires you to be located in proximity to one of our Farm Hubs, the exact locales of which are currently being determined. You will spend some time at our first farm Hub in Missouri, as you learn about our high-tech regenerative farming approach. You will have a unique opportunity to shape our regenerative future, and be at the forefront of the industry as it defines how we achieve and measure regenerative impact.


    • Spend your days at one of our Farm Hubs (locations TBD), leading a small team of operations agronomists and farm hands
    • Manage the planning and day-to-day monitoring of agronomic field throughout the growing season, providing comprehensive analysis and reporting
    • Own and drive the financial, agronomic, and environmental outcomes at the Hub
    • Keep Leadership abreast on field trial data and field information, provide weekly communications to review objectives and results from the field
    • Collaborate with our agronomy & technology functions to bring Vaydas high-tech regenerative agriculture approach to life, and create a feedback loop
    • Work with other Farm GMs to share best practices
    • Use our high-tech on-farm solutions (sensors, automated systems, farm management software)
    • Use key pieces of equipment (tractor, etc) to aid in your day-to-day responsibilities
    • A degree in agriculture, agronomy or similar, Masters preferred but not required
    • 8 years working in farm operations management or general farm operations in a production agriculture environment
    • Experience working with farm equipment, like tractors (e.g., 8000 series JD)
    • Experience working with farm technology, like automated systems, GPS, sensors, farm management software
    • Experience working with and building start-up businesses preferred, but not required
    • Equal balance between results and purpose orientation
    • Ability to collaborate and influence through strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to think strategically, while staying on top of tactical execution priorities
