    Description

    You will serve as a accountant and develop, coordinate and oversee financial reporting and analysis, audit remediation and coordination, financial policy, and property accounting.

    Being a civilian working for the Coast Guard (CG) makes you a valuable team member.

    Some of the typical duties include:


    Performing various analyses on currently actual funding execution and future projections of needs in regards to the accounting of inventory management and budget execution.

    Designing new systems or the development of modifications to existing systems

    Serving as a mentor to the sections military officers in principles and practice of government accounting
    Responding to management requests for financial information, new directives from headquarters changing current accounting procedures, and implementing new accounting system changes
    Composing internal and external procedural documentation
    Providing a variety of accounting services to Management, Headquarters, and other government agency officials by preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial reports as well as developing new or tailoring existing reports as required
