    Job Description
    We're seeking an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. An individual that is a strategic thinker, driven, customer-focused, and ready to dive right in.

    The Account Manager's role can be divided into five main categories:

    Client Relationship Management, Project Management, Product Knowledge & Consultation, Team Collaboration, and Reporting.
    Client Relationship Management

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the building industry, such as contractors, builders, architects, and interior designers.

    Understand client needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities to promote and sell products sourced and/or installed by Macadam Floor & Design.

    Resolve complaints and keep track of all processes that pertain to the client's desires.

    Act as the client's in-house representative to ensure their requests are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.

    Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    Project Management

    Generate bids for new work; revise existing bids to reflect changes to builder selections, market pricing, and negotiations with clients.

    Order materials, track ETAs, adjust orders. Track material overages and shortages to refine ordering process.
    Produce Work Orders and ensure all documentation necessary for successful project completion is available to all involved parties.

    Oversee the successful execution of projects in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders; this may include (but is not limited to) site pre-cons, and walks with clients and homeowners, as well as problem-solving solutions for site condition exceptions in collaboration with the Field.

    Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure customer satisfaction and project success; this may include (but is not limited to) tracking changes to builder schedules, negotiating favorable pricing with vendors, and performing site checks.

    Team Collaboration

    Foster collaboration and effective communication within the Account Manager team and across other departments such as Scheduling, Field Operations, Purchasing, Design, Warehouse, and Installer/Vendor Invoices; this may include (but is not limited to) producing pricing and documentation for design appts, working with the Field team to negotiate installer pricing, and following up on installer invoices.

    Encourage knowledge sharing, best practice sharing, and a team-oriented approach to achieve business objectives.
    Reporting
    Prepare and submit regular reports to facilitate finalizing job financials and billing clients.
    Provide monthly (or as requested) estimates of new orders.

    Research and report any information on potential sales and new or established clients as requested by Sales or Senior Management.

    Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed business decisions.
    Product Knowledge & Consultation
    Develop a deep understanding of flooring products, including types, features, benefits, and installation processes.
    Be familiar with and utilize trade resources to ensure projects meet or exceed industry standards (e.g. TCNA, CRI 104 and 105, BuildGreen, NWFA).

    Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert product knowledge and guidance in selecting the right materials solutions to meet their specific requirements, to include making the client aware of other services and actions that may lead to greater success.

    Requirements:

    At least 2 years of account management, project management, in the construction/flooring industry, or related experience.
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    Adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
    Comfortable with computers and learning industry-specific software and programs.
    Prior experience with programs like Adobe Pro DC, Dropbox, CRM, or similar.
    Ability to build rapport and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
    Excellent multitasker with a keen attention to detail.
    Ability to work in a team collaboration environment.

    We need someone that isn't looking to be a "lone wolf"; isn't afraid to ask questions or ask for help if they need it; is comfortable working as part of a team.

    While we would prefer to have someone work in one our offices (Tukwila or Bellevue), this role is remote/hybrid eligible for Washington State residents only.

    This is dependent upon several factors. This will be discussed during the interview process.
