    Job Title: State Government Account Executive at Esri

    Welcome to a fantastic opportunity to join Esri's State and Local Government team! We are seeking a dedicated individual with a strong background in state government and a passion for utilizing geospatial technology. This role involves collaborating with a dynamic team to assist state government clients in optimizing their use of Esri technology and overcoming challenges they may face.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build relationships: Develop and execute location strategies, maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities, and expand your professional network through various channels.
    • Understand clients: Demonstrate industry knowledge related to GIS applications, identify key stakeholders, and grasp customer budgeting processes.
    • Continuous learning: Articulate the value of Esri technology for state governments, engage in ongoing research, and stay abreast of customer needs and trends.
    • Achieve results: Execute sales processes effectively, employ visual storytelling techniques, and propose customized solutions for clients.
    • Collaborate with your team: Utilize your domain expertise to define and implement account strategies with Esri teams, demonstrating motivation and initiative.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of enterprise sales or relevant consulting experience
    • Proven ability to build partnerships and establish trust with clients
    • Understanding of account management and opportunity strategy creation
    • Familiarity with state government operations and current technology trends
    • Strong negotiation skills and capability to engage stakeholders at all levels
    • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in GIS, business administration, or related field

    Recommended Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of GIS, Esri technology, and state government relations
    • Experience in managing the sales lifecycle
    • Understanding of data science and spatial analysis for organizational problem-solving
    • Familiarity with industry fiscal cycles and procurement processes

    Total Rewards:

Compensation for this role is determined based on various factors, with a base salary range of $83,200 to $143,520 USD.
