**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our efforts in selling Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) and Biologics services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Strategic Business Development:**
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets for CGT and Biologics services.
Identify and prioritize target accounts and key decision-makers within biopharmaceutical companies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and requirements.
2. **Market Analysis and Intelligence:**
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in CGT and Biologics.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market segments.
Utilize market intelligence to develop compelling value propositions and differentiated offerings.
3. **Client Engagement and Relationship Management:**
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service needs.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, operations, and project management, to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Actively participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote capabilities and services.
4. **Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:**
Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients, outlining the scope of services, pricing, and terms.
Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable agreements while maximizing value.
5. **Sales Forecasting and Reporting:**
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline in CRM systems.
Generate regular reports and updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis for senior management.
**Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development and sales within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on CGT and Biologics services.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong technical understanding of cell and gene therapy processes, biologics development, and manufacturing.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
