Project Controls Specialist Position Summary:
The Project Controls Specialist works directly with the Project Management group from project proposal inception, through design and construction.
Responsible for financial project set-up and cost maintenance of multiple, concurrent engineering projects. Provide active review of project financials and sound input for proactive project management and execution.This position and group will grow to support EPCMV project execution including indirect and direct costs management for engineering, equipment procurement, construction and CQV projects.
Successful Candidates shall have the desire to grow within a developing office and a developing Project Controls Team. The ability to grow into a Supervisory Role is highly desired.Primary Responsibilities:
Project financial setup using company standard cost tools and/or Procore software. Maintain detailed understanding of authorized project funding vs. approved scope. Facilitation and completion of monthly financial reporting including PMR, Cost Reporting, and earned value reporting.
Maintain financial summary for small projects Work between accounting, PM and engineering departments for planning, reporting, forecasting and invoicing Responsible project setup of subconsultants and invoicing & budget tracking of project subconsultants.
Responsible for invoicing review and vendor/subcontractor follow up, ERP project set-up, and financial forecasting of direct project costs. Completes AIA invoicing, project financial forecasting, and project set-up start to finish.Ability to extract and understand previous project performance metrics that will drive team continuous improvement Support project commercial proposal & pricing process using historical data and metrics from previous projects.
Helps train new Project Controls Administrators. Supports Project Management Team with financial queries throughout life cycle of project. Assist with internal/external audits, providing data and supporting documents as required.Skills/Toolsbb:
