About Cassidy Edmondson:
I am working as a school psychologist for the Appoquinimink School District after completing my Educational Specialist degree from the University of Delaware in 2023. It was an honor to receive the Bregman Award from the UD College of Education and Human Development for my yearlong internship project providing resources to high school students with disabilities who are interested in pursuing higher education.
During my time in graduate school, I spent two years as a graduate research assistant at UD's Center for Disability Studies working for Spectrum Scholars, where I assisted with modifying and implementing an anxiety intervention for autistic college students, served as a coach to students in individual weekly sessions, engaged in data management and analysis, and supported with conference proposals and manuscript development. I also completed the Delaware Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities program, where I completed seminars, community-based visits, and a family mentoring experience focused on neurodiversity, cultural competency, and family-centered care.
Previously, I received my Master of Arts degree in School Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2021, and I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2020 with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minors in Educational Studies, Human Development and Family Sciences, Disability Studies, and Cognitive Science. During my undergraduate studies, I spent time working at UD's Center for Biomedical and Brain Imaging as a researcher in the cognitive neuropsychology lab, as well as four years working at the UD Office of Undergraduate Admissions as an application manager.
