Description
The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 1800 participant employers enrolled statewide, our Self-Directed Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with (I/DD) in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to streamlining payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting processes is essential to helping us live up to our mission. And that matters to us.
As we build the future of self-direction in Maryland, the Self-Directed Services Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Self-Directed Services division by supporting the Processing Operations Team with a variety of financial analysis, accounting activities and projects focused on improved operations and compliance with the FMCS contract. In partnership with the Director of Processing Operations, The Self-Directed Services Financial Analyst will identify Processing improvement opportunities, make recommendations for enhancements, and support process implementation.
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate excellent technical and analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. This role requires a bachelors degree in business administration or related field and a CPA/CMA and MBA would be a plus. The candidate must also have a minimum of 3 years of senior accountant experience with skills in facilitation of complicated, in-depth analyses on financial activities in an organization. The position comes with a competitive benefits package, is located in our Linthicum, Maryland headquarters and is eligible for moderate telework.
