Job Summary:
4S-Silversword is recruiting a Financial Analyst to support a Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Health Agency (DHA) office. The position will support resource management activities across multiple software, research, and analytical projects.
We seek a financial professional with experience in DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Acquisition (DoD 5000), procurement procedures, DoD travel regulations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst activities include but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support for the planning, tracking, analysis and execution of funding to support organization mission.
- Provide contract execution support related to purchase orders, task orders and funding actions
- Assist in formulating and executing operations budgets; prepare purchase request worksheets
- Manage office procurements including office supplies ordering through appropriate Government purchase systems
- Coordinate and track all funding and activities for Military and Civilian Government staff training, travel, and invitational travel; maintain up to date knowledge of travel regulations and utilization of DoD travel system
- Maintain auditable records for Government Purchase Card usage
- Assist in development of department level policy for financial reporting
- Prepare financial briefings, expenditure and execution reports, spreadsheets and financial documentation
- Assist in preparation of spend plan worksheets detailing authorizations, commitments, obligations and balances
- Maintain confidential financial and staffing records
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Must have 3 to 5 years of experience supporting financial or resource managers, preferably in a DoD setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in preparing financial reports and finance related briefs
- Experience planning, tracking, analyzing, and executing funds
- Ability to manage workload and schedule across multiple projects
- Exceptional attention to detail for quality control of documents and artifacts
- Communication skills and teamwork
- Selfmotivated and capable of independent work and productivity
- US Citizen and capable of passing a National Agency Check with Investigation

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
