Duties

This position is located under the Property & Logistics Division in Washington, District of Columbia.


The primary purpose of this position is to serves as an expert in leading and/or conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, assessments and evaluations of enforcement programs and initiatives in terms of their impact on available and/or projected fiscal resources.

As a Financial Analyst, GS , your typical work assignments may include:

Serves as an expert in leading and/or conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses, assessments and evaluations of enforcement programs and initiatives in terms of their impact on available and/or projected fiscal resources.

Uses advanced management and budgeting practices, along with a comprehensive knowledge of Federal and departmental budget regulations, prepares long (five year) and short-range strategic resource analyses, projections and plans for PLD's multiple budgets.

Participates with key PLD management officials in planning, coordinating, formulating, and reassessing long-range plans.

Develops fiscal resource guidance for PLD and subordinate organizations and program activities and performs continuous appraisal of the utilization of resources in accomplishing its overall program objectives and goals.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.


MOBILITY PLAN:

To accomplish these objectives, the mobility plan will facilitate the movement of employees through special short-term assignments or permanent reassignments throughout the Bureau.

Key Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
May be required to serve a one year probationary period.


Qualifications:


Additional Conditions of Employment:

GS-1- You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Assisting financial management with coordinating budget formulations and multi-year budget proposals; AND
Maintaining regulatory policy guidance to aide in the assess on budgets and programs; AND
Utilization of Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools; AND
Expert knowledge of the Congressional and OMB budgetary process and strategies of budget presentation.


Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
