    Description
    Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for their growing team. In this role, you will be doing market analysis for our client for their industry. You will work with large amounts of data and provide meaningful reports and dashboards.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Designs standard and custom reports/dashboards that are prepared for use by various stakeholders

    Uses various technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms to support effective business decisions and/or processes.

    Assists in a detailed analysis of their business

    Assists in developing, creating, testing, and generating routine analytical reports and custom business analysis using Business Intelligence tools and SQL.

    Works closely with departments throughout the organization to produce actionable analysis on historical trending of key business metrics.
    Develop improved methods and recommendations analysis.
    Converts files from various computer platforms such as mainframe, UNIX, and PC.
    Maintains databases that are used by this department for statistical research and analysis.
    Conducts research to gather information from various sources, including databases, the Internet, and third-party data providers.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Minimum of three years related experience performing business analysis, data analysis, or other quantitative/qualitative research work. Experience conducting research and analysis with large data sets and third-party resources.

    Experience writing SQL queries, creating reports using Business Intelligence software, and using spreadsheets and databases to analyze and improve business processes.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree with a focus in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business Information. Advanced degree preferred.
    Analytical thinker and problem solver.
    Must have knowledge of data processing concepts, basic statistics, and database concepts.
    Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
    Mathematical, statistical, and analytical aptitude.
    Above average ability with BI reporting tools such as Cognos, PowerBI, QLIK, Tableau, MS SSRS; advanced preferred.
    Solid SQL query writing skills

    ADDITIONAL:
    This is hybrid role and our client requires candidates to work onsite in Nashville, TN each week. It is a casual work environment.
