    Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Forward Support Engineer that will establish network information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure (CAN, WAN); design architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces; and they will analytically and systematically evaluate problems of workflows and network usage and develop appropriate corrective action.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the integration of a proprietary cyber training network environment.
    • Configure and support internal or external networks.
    • Document network events, to include network diagrams, and proactively seek solutions to outages, etc.
    • Support the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of network routers, switches, firewalls, and IDS/IPS devices.
    • Maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations, troubleshoot network performance, and coordinate repairs covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
    Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in a broad range of technical task assignments.
    • Establishing Layer 1 connectivity between networking devices (Cat 5 and fiber)
    • Troubleshooting Layer 1 connections with Fluke or optical testers.
    • Working with media converters.
    • Configuring taclanes, especially the KG-175 series.
    • IAT Level II Security Certification (Security + CE or GSEC or SSCP or CCNA-Security).
    • Cisco router and switch experience.
    • Microsoft Visio experience.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • US Citizen and Top Secret/SCI Clearance
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Help Desk ticketing experience.
    • Juniper experience.
