    Description

    A client of Insight Global in the fintech space is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wordpress Developer to join our team.

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in WordPress development, including custom plugin development, theme development, WordPress site optimization, and a strong understanding of blocks. The Senior WordPress Developer should also possess leadership skills, with the ability to lead development teams and mentor junior developers.

    What you'll be doing:

    Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including custom plugin development and

    theme customization.

    Optimize WordPress sites for performance, speed, and SEO.

    Collaborate with design and UX/UI teams to implement design specifications into

    WordPress themes.

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress websites, plugins, and themes.

    Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.

    Mentoring and training junior developers

    What You'll Bring:

    Extensive experience in WordPress development, including custom plugin development, theme development, and WordPress site optimization.

    Strong understanding of WordPress core functionality, plugins, themes, hooks, and APIs.

    Proficiency in front-end technologies such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

    Experience with WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) and block development.

    Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

    Ability to lead development teams, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience in mentoring and training junior developers.

    Prior leadership or project management experience is a plus.
