Position Description for Sr. WordPress Developer

Apollidon Learning, an online program management firm serving higher education institutions, is seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and talented
Sr.

WordPress Developer who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the rapid growth of a small business.

You will be responsible for crafting and implementing custom WordPress themes and plugins while maintaining the highest code quality standards.

Proficiency in React, , and TypeScript is a must as you'll be developing complex, responsive, and interactive websites.

The
Sr. WordPress Developer position reports to the
Director of Web Development Services.


Core Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins with a clean, intuitive design.
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of all WordPress installations.
• Build and support backend services with
• Leverage TypeScript to ensure type safety and maintainability of the codebase.
• Collaborate with designers to match visual design intent.
• Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 46 years of handson experience as a WordPress Developer.
• Strong experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Knowledge in React and proficiency using and developing Gutenberg blocks.
• Ability to create responsive designs and interactive elements.
• Indepth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS while using Tailwind CSS.
• A detailoriented approach to development and problemsolving.
• Excellent understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.

Nice to Have

• A portfolio of custom solutions developed in WordPress.
• Familiarity with additional JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with and TypeScript in a production environment.
